Iodine Tincture Spray is a yellowish-brown solution containing 2.5% w/v of Iodine in an alcohol base. The tincture (alcohol) form of Iodine is more stable and iodoform is produced from the free iodine released from the oxidation process. Iodine is germicidal, bactericidal and sporicidal in its action and is very effective against a wide range of organisms associated with bactericidal or fungal conditions.
